Thermostat + NLC (or lighting)
Occupancy Based Thermostat Control
Occupancy-based control for thermostat-served spaces, using your lighting control sensors, through a Raspberry Pi gateway.
What it is
Occupancy-based control for thermostat-served spaces.
Thermostat Control brings the occupancy your lighting control sensors already see to spaces served by thermostats, so heating and cooling can follow how the space is actually used. No BACnet or BMS required.
The Thermostat + NLC solution uses a Raspberry Pi gateway to connect your networked lighting controls (or lighting) and thermostats. The Raspberry Pi gateway is available today.
The gateway software is free to the industry, including system integrators, thermostat manufacturers and lighting manufacturers.
What it connects to
Thermostats and lighting control sensors.
- ThermostatsSmart thermostats, connected through the Raspberry Pi gateway.
- Networked lighting controlsWorks with networked lighting controls and smart thermostats. No BACnet or BMS required.
Illustrative example: space temperatures on a floor plan in the Analytics Dashboard module. Example data, not a real building.
Facilities stay in control
No construction. No capital project.
- Software-driven. Runs through a Raspberry Pi gateway on your network, with no construction.
- Your facilities team keeps full override control.
- Available on its own or combined with other KenergyAI modules.

Technology partnerships
Build KenergyAI into your systems.
We're looking for lighting manufacturers and thermostat partners to embed KenergyAI's software algorithms in their systems.
Help us bring direct thermostat-to-lighting-controls communication, no gateway required.
Tell us about your thermostats and lighting controls.
Our team will review the spaces you have in mind and whether this module is a fit.
